Every Gym in Ahwatukee Foothills (2026): An Honest Guide from a Local Owner

Written by Jordan Bulkoski · Owner, Anytime Fitness Ahwatukee North · Updated April 2026

I've owned a gym in Ahwatukee since May 2023. I know the competitive landscape better than most — not just because I live in it, but because potential members tell me every week why they picked us, why they left somewhere else, and what they wish they'd known before signing up.

This guide covers every real gym option in or directly adjacent to Ahwatukee Foothills: what they actually have, what they actually cost, and who each one is genuinely the best fit for. I'm going to be honest about my competitors. The goal is to help you make the right call — even if that call isn't us.

Quick Facts: Ahwatukee's Gym Landscape (April 2026)

The Gyms: Full Breakdown

Anytime Fitness Ahwatukee North 24/7 Personal Training

Address: 4855 E Warner Rd Suite 24-28, Phoenix, AZ 85044 (Basha's plaza at Warner & 48th)
Phone: (480) 900-1616
Hours: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
Membership: Starting at $19.99 bi-weekly (~$43/month), no long-term contract

What's inside: Free weights up to 100 lbs, squat racks, cable machines, Smith machine, full cardio deck (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowers), functional training area, TRX, tanning beds, and HydroMassage recovery beds. Private restrooms and showers.

Personal training: Justin is a NASM-certified personal trainer with 15+ years of experience and a kinesiology background. He works with everyone from complete beginners who've never set foot in a gym to athletes who need structured programming. He does actual assessments, not cookie-cutter plans. Available Mon–Sat.

What makes it different: The only 24/7 gym in Ahwatukee — which matters more than people expect. Early commuters hitting Warner Rd before 6am, nurses finishing night shifts, people who travel and want access to 5,000+ Anytime Fitness locations worldwide — this is the gym built for people with irregular schedules. Locally owned, so you'll see JB or Justin most days.

Best for: Anyone who needs flexible hours, wants a real coach without paying studio prices, or doesn't want to be locked into a contract.

Watch out for: Not a massive facility — this is a focused, well-equipped neighborhood gym, not a giant box with 50 treadmills. If you need a pool, this isn't your spot.

Mountainside Fitness Full Amenities Group Classes

Address: Ahwatukee location on Ray Rd (south side of Ahwatukee, near 48th St & Ray Rd intersection area)
Hours: Staffed hours; not 24/7
Membership: Typically $40–$60/month with enrollment fee; prices vary by plan

What's inside: Large facility. Full free weight area, extensive machine section, group fitness studio with included classes (cycling, yoga, HIIT), pool in some locations, racquetball courts, kids' club.

Personal training: Available. Rates are typically $60–$90/session for one-on-one.

Best for: Families who want kids' club, swimmers, and people who want a wide variety of group classes included in membership.

Watch out for: Month-to-month plans cost more. Group fitness times are fixed — if your schedule is unpredictable, the class schedule may not fit. Higher price point than most options in this area.

UFC Gym Ahwatukee MMA & Combat Group Classes

Address: Ray Rd corridor, Ahwatukee
Hours: Staffed hours; check their site for current schedule
Membership: ~$40–$55/month for standard gym access; fight classes are add-on or separate

What's inside: Standard gym floor plus a combat/MMA area with heavy bags, a boxing ring, mats, and MMA instruction. Standard cardio and weight equipment for general fitness.

Best for: Anyone interested in martial arts, boxing, Muay Thai, or MMA training. The combat sports instruction here is the real differentiator — no other Ahwatukee gym offers this.

Watch out for: If you're just looking for a standard gym, you're paying for a specialty you won't use. Not the right fit if MMA isn't your thing.

Burn Boot Camp Group Training

Address: Ray Rd area, Ahwatukee
Membership: ~$35–$55/month depending on plan

What's inside: Small-group outdoor and indoor boot camp classes. Focus camps (45–60 min) with strength and conditioning. Childcare available during class times — a meaningful differentiator for parents.

Best for: Moms and parents who need childcare during workouts, people who thrive in a community-driven group environment, and those who prefer guided workouts over self-directed training.

Watch out for: Classes are scheduled — miss the window and you're out for that day. No open-gym floor access. Not ideal for people with shifting schedules or those who prefer training solo.

EOS Fitness (Warner & I-10 location) Budget Tier Full Amenities

Address: Near Warner Rd & I-10 interchange — relocated from Elliot Rd to a larger facility
Membership: Starting around $10/month (basic); higher tiers with amenity access $20–$30/month

What's inside: Their newer location is large. Full free weight area, extensive cardio, group fitness studio, basketball courts, sauna/steam rooms, tanning, HydroMassage — all depending on membership tier. One of the most full-featured options at a low price point.

Best for: Price-conscious members who want a lot of amenities for the dollar, and who don't need 24/7 access or personal training support.

Watch out for: The price is the hook — but full amenity access often requires the higher-tier membership. The newer location has gotten crowded during peak hours (5–7pm). Not staffed overnight.

Blk LBL Fitness Club Boutique

Address: Ahwatukee Foothills area
Membership: Boutique pricing; typically $50–$80/month

What's inside: Boutique-style fitness club with a curated atmosphere. Smaller, more premium feel than the big-box gyms. Good for members who want a less chaotic environment.

Best for: People who find big-box gyms overwhelming or impersonal, and who are willing to pay a premium for a quieter, more intentional training environment.

Crunch Fitness (Ahwatukee — announced, not yet open) Coming Soon

As of March 2026, Crunch has announced an Ahwatukee location but it was not yet open. Watch their website for the opening date. Crunch typically offers low-to-mid pricing ($10–$25/month) with a large equipment floor and included group fitness classes at the higher tier.

Price Comparison (2026 Estimates)

These are approximate. Most gyms don't publish prices online — call or visit to get the real number. Enrollment fees, annual fees, and cancellation terms vary significantly.

The 24/7 Access Question

Ahwatukee has a lot of early risers. Warner Rd is a major commuter route to the 202, I-10, and the 101. A huge chunk of the Ahwatukee workforce leaves between 5:30–7am. Another chunk works shifts — nurses, firefighters, police, retail management — whose schedules don't fit a 5am–11pm gym window.

Out of all the gyms in Ahwatukee Foothills, Anytime Fitness at Warner & 48th is the only one open around the clock. Not "open early" — actually 24/7/365, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Members get a personal key fob for after-hours entry.

If your schedule is regular — let's say you're reliably free at 6pm weekdays — this matters less. But if you've ever driven to a gym and found it closed, or had to skip a workout because your schedule shifted, 24/7 access is worth paying for.

The Personal Training Calculus

Most Ahwatukee gyms sell personal training at $60–$90/session. If you're doing 2 sessions a week, that's $480–$720/month — more than most people's car payment.

We built the 28-Day Body Reset as an answer to that. For $49 total, you get:

It's not 1-on-1 every day. But it gives you a real framework, real accountability, and a real coach's eye on your plan — at a price that doesn't require a second job to sustain.
